Mike Wazowski Die Cut

Mike Wazowski cut out from Mini Monsters Cricut Cartridge

Using this monster I cut out the body in green at 3 1/2" and then cut the two outside legs off. Then I cut out the horns in tan at 3 1/2". I used the large eye and cut out one in white at 7", one in blue at 5", and one in black at 3" and layered them together.

Then using this monster I cut out the mouth  in black at 3". I also cut out three sets of the teeth in white at 3". I put five teeth on the top and four teeth on the bottom.

The result: Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc.

Meatloaf Muffins

Cupcakes in the form of meatloaf, frosting in the form of mashed potatoes, and sprinkles in the form of cheese!

I made these for dinner and thought I'd share the recipe... Enjoy!

·         Recipe for: Meatloaf Muffins

·         Ingredients
2 lbs ground turkey
2 eggs
½ Medium Green Pepper – diced
½ Cup Red Onion – diced
1 tbsp minced garlic
1-1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper

·         Instructions
Preheat oven to 350.
I use muffin pans and make meatloaf muffins! Make sure you spray the tins with some non-stick cooking spray and your meatloaf muffins will slip out nicely after cooking. Turkey is not as fatty as Ground Beef so make sure you do this so they won’t stick! Makes 16 meatloaf muffins.

Combine all ingredients into a large bowl and mix well. After spraying your muffin tray with non-stick cooking spray, fill each muffin compartment  all of the way full.
Place into oven for approximately 35 minutes.

Updates

Hello everyone. Wow it's been a while since I have blogged. So I am updating everyone on the happening in my life. Well we got orders so we are moving to Jacksonville, FL. Good bye Guam! I am very excited to start this new chapter and cant wait to start exploring FL. We will be about a two hour drive away from Orlando. I am already planning my trips to Disney World and Universal Studios (The Wizarding World of Harry Potter). We will be vacationing in Vegas before we head to Jacksonville. After our vacation we will be driving to Florida with our two dogs. Excited but nervous at the same time! Our only real plan for our drive is to stop in Atlanta to see one of my besties, Laura. Chris is in A-School right now, studying to be a Maritime Enforcement Specialist. (Maritime Enforcement Specialists are a cadre of professionals well grounded in knowledge and skills pertaining to law enforcement and security duties. As such, members of this rating can be expected to be assigned challenging duties including traditional maritime law enforcement, anti-terrorism force protection, port security and safety, as well as providing unit-level training in these fields.) He is set to graduate July 2nd. So proud of him. He left me at home to hold down the fort and get everything ready for our move.

Sarge and Elle are doing good. Elle is still a puppy and I am still having issues potty training, plus she chews up everything. I don't think I've ever kept all my stuff put away so well before. Sarge still has only child syndrome. He is still food and toy aggressive. I have pretty much solved the food issue by feeding them separately in their kennels. But teaching Sarge to share his toys has been very challenging. They do play well together (minus toys). And I often find them cuddling. Elle loves her big brother and copies him a lot. Love them to death. They are my children and yes I treat them that way.

I am currently not working and have packed away all my scrapbooking stuff. I wish I could have kept my job a little while longer so I could have stashed away some more cash but well life happens. I am for sure missing teaching. I have been in contact with a studio in Jacksonville and hopefully can get a job there when I move.

Well I suppose that's all for now. Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything. Until next time!

Our 1st Anniversary

We had a really nice anniversary. We lounged around and cuddled most of the day. After I gave Chris his present (an iPad over) Chris took me shopping to get some new clothes for my present. Then we went to dinner at the Sea Grill. It was super yummy. We got fried poki (which is just fried tuna) as an appetizer. I got the sea food linguine and Chris got garlic marinara prawns (giant shrimp). It was so good. And they gave us a free desert for it being our anniversary. Then we went and got massages. Wonderful! Then we went to the movies to see Super 8. Good movie. I definitely recommend it! It was a great day. The only thing missing was the top of our Wedding Cake. (We couldn't bring it to Guam :( ) Here is a picture of us at dinner.

Birthday Challenge

Pink stamper has challenged us to make something birthday themed. Here is the card I created. I made two different versions of it.

I absolutely love the way these cards turned out! My new favorite Birthday design!

Bug Me Anytime!

I know it has been forever since I have blogged but I think I'm getting back into the swing of things. I want to share a card with you I made today.

I used Doodlecharms cartridge to cut out the mason jar and the stick. Then I used Create A Critter to cut out the worm. I cut the jar out with a patterned paper. Then I cut it out in plastic and layed the plastic over the patterned paper to create the look of a real jar. I used all pieces of scraps I had laying around on this card (except for the plastic). I am trying to use up my scraps. I hand wrote the sentiment but copied the words from one of My Creative Time's stamp sets. This was the first time I have ever cut plastic with my cricut. It cut pretty easy. If you want to try it make sure you have a sharp blade. I cut the jar at 4 1/2", the stick at 4", the worm at 2 1/2", and the tag at 1". Isn't this the cutest card ever? Love it!

Pink Stamper Challenge

Our challenge was to use black and at least one other color. I made a two page layout...

I went into my scrap room going in to make something for this challenge. I thought of a couple different things to do but eventually had all my dance album stuff out and was making this. :) I love the way it turned out! I hope you do too.

Happy Birthday!

It's Pink Stamper's birthday and she has challenged us to make a birthday card so here is mine...

I used some stamps I got a while ago by Hedi Swapp. I inked my card in purple and then stamped the giant flower in pink and the leaf in green. I then wrote Happy Birthday with a black pen.

Merry Christmas!

What did everyone get for Christmas? I got a new kindle and leather cover with a built in book light, nail polish, makeup, 4 cartridges for my cricut (robotz, mini monsters, nifty fifties, and twinkle toes), a pink tool set for my cricut, Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue on bluray, 2 new cookbooks, a cookbook stand, and a spoon rest! Oh yeah I also got extra dark Lindor Truffles and twizlers. Chris and Sarge made out pretty good too! Chris got a World of Warcraft mouse, a poker set, a card shuffler, Iron Man on blueray, Toy Story 3 on blueray, 2 Wii games, an electric tooth brush, and tons of candy. Sarge got a king ball, a tug roap, a giant busy bone, pheast flavored treats, a frizbee, a worm, a hippo, and a tree.

Last night for Christmas Eve Laura and Kelly invited us over and we had tacos and hung out. It was lots of fun. Sarge even got to go and play with Trouble. Today we just spent the day in. We slept in until 10. And then opened presents. After opening presents we watched Toy Story. We then had Subway for lunch. Chris then went to play with his new mouse and I watched Tinkerbell. We spoke to both his family and my family. We are just going to have a normal dinner tonight. Chris parents fly in on Monday so I'm making "Christmas" dinner that night.

Hope everyone enjoys their Christmas and doesn't for get the true meaning! Make sure you send up a Happy Birthday to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Updates

Nothing really new. I've been working a lot. Everyone is now completely trained so we got our "permanent" schedules. I will be working every Monday and Tuesday 7-6 and every 3rd Saturday 8-1.  I've been cooking every night. I love it. I'm starting to experiment more. I'm getting pretty good, if I do say so myself. Chris' birthday is on Tuesday. I hope he likes the present I got him. IDK though because it's not exactly what he wanted. I made him a super cute card! He will love it! I also made cards for everyone who has a birthday/anniversary in November and mailed them out. Some of them are late and some are early. I am keeping up with my shows through hulu. I have given up trying to watch them "live". Guam tv just sucks. Haven started back up but the Gates hasn't. I hope they don't cancel it. It was a good show. Haven is getting really good but most of my shows are. Not too happy with this season of Grey's. It has really gown down hill. Private Practice isn't too bad. Desperate Housewives is getting good. There was a big shocker at the end of the last episode. Can't wait to see how it plays out. Destination Truth came to Guam. that was pretty cool. They don't believe in the Guam Zombies but they just didn't look in the right place. They really didn't do their research for this one. They also went to Pohnpei. Chris has been there and it was cool to see what Chris seen. Not much else is going on. So I guess that is it for now.

Dog Bite

I got bit by a dog at work. I bent down to pick up her leash and she lunged at me and got me right in the lip. I rushed to the ER and had to get 4 stitches. I was at the ER for about 3 hours getting fixed up. They sent me home with antibiotic cream and pills. No pain killers. It's very awkward. It started hurting today. I got all the blood off. It is still very swollen. I called into work today because I was in so much pain. It hurts to talk. This picture is from when I got home from the ER.

Project Underway-26

Day 26 9/10/10
Today has been a day! I got up early. talk to Rip an Leah on skype. Then I went to my Doctor's appointment for my achne. I got 2 creams and some antibiotics. I then went and picked up Alice and we went to the thrift store. I found lots of good buys. I spent $11 today. I got a book, 2 cook books, a bowl/plate set, a tea pot, a hot coco pot and mugs, 2 stuffed animals for Sarge, and a bag. I came home to find my house was infested with ticks. Brittany and her mom came over and helped me get out some plants I didn't want from my yard. They took them to Brittany's to plant in her yard. I then took Sarge to the vet. He got his rabies shot and a flea and tick bath. Laura said she would bring him home for me so I came home and bug bombed my house. I used 5 bombs in my house and 1 in my garage/car. While my house was being bombed I went to Brittany's house. I had dinner over there. We had veggie burgers with corn and sweet potato fries. Yummy! Laura called me and said they were home and that Sarge was bleeding from where his stitches were from him being neutered. She called the vet and she told us how to temporally fix it. We had to super glue it shut. Well Sarge is bleeding into his scrotum. It is making them swell pretty large. The vet also said she thinks he has a tick disease. Which is causing his blood not to be able to clot. So he has to go back to the vet tomorrow to get his junk drained and to get the special meds for his disease. But on a plus note I applied to work as a receptionist at the vet and she wants me to come in tomorrow while Sarge is there and shadow Laura. I'm excited. So Sarge is staying at Laura's tonight so she can keep an eye on him and she will take him with her to work in the morning. I came home and super cleaned my house. Sweept and mopped, washed all the bedding and sheets. I also washed all the towels and clothes. I vacuumed  the couch and love seat. I also washed all my dishes in the dish washer. The bombs worked. I found lots of dead bugs that are now out of my house. Everyone please pray for Sarge that he heals quickly and nothing else will go wrong. What a long and tiring day!

Project Underway-24

Day 24 9/8/10
Today was a fun day. I went to GAIN and applied for my doggie. Brittany came with me. I parked under this tree. The application take 24 hours so I should get him tomorrow. He went to a foster home so I didn't get to see him at the shelter. When I got home I started dinner. I put meat and bbq sauce in the crockpot. Then I got a phone call from Sarge's foster mom and she said I could come over and play with him. So Brittany, her mom, and I headed over to her house. I played with him for an hour or so. Then Brittany's mom decided she wanted to go to GAIN to see all the doggies because she wants to take one home with her. So off to GAIN we went again. She found a couple she liked but she didn't put in any applications.  After that we came home and I finished dinner while Brittany showered. They then came over and we ate my yummy dinner. I made "ribs" in the crockpot with bbq sauce on them and green beans and mashed potatoes. It was so yummy. I cleaned up dinner then we went to the movies. We seen The Switch. It was a very cute movie. Two thumbs up from me. I also got another birthday package in the mail today. Here's to another great day :)
